Treatment Process and Outcome Report

Patient Complaint and Reason for Visit:

The patient presented to our clinic with dissatisfaction regarding the aesthetic appearance of their teeth, despite having undergone a 3-year orthodontic treatment in the past. The patient expressed concerns that their expectations for improved dental aesthetics had not been met, specically regarding the form and symmetry of the teeth.

Dental Assessment:

Clinical examination revealed that the patient had excellent oral hygiene and overall satisfactory oral health. However, an imbalance in the proportion of the upper anterior teeth (central and lateral incisors) was observed, as these teeth appeared disproportionately large. Additionally, the lower anterior teeth displayed a forward-tilting inclination.

Treatment Plan:

Following a detailed assessment and discussion of the patient’s aesthetic expectations, the following treatment plan was proposed:

1. 20 Units of Laminate Veneers: To modify the shape and color of the posterior teeth.

2. 20 Units of Zirconium Crowns: To provide fullcoverage restorations for the upper and lower teeth, addressing both aesthetic and functional concerns.

The patient opted for zirconium crowns, emphasizing a preference for a smooth texture on the lingual (tongue-facing)
surfaces of the teeth.

Treatment Process and Outcome:

• The treatment was completed during the patient’s rst visit to Istanbul, lasting a total of 5 days.

• The 20-unit zirconium crown treatment successfully achieved the desired form, color, and symmetry, meeting the patient’s aesthetic expectations.

• Post-treatment evaluations revealed no complications or complaints from the patient.

Outcome and Follow-Up:

The patient expressed satisfaction with the aesthetic results, achieving the desired appearance. No issues have been reported to date. Periodic follow-up appointments have been scheduled to ensure long-term satisfaction and maintenance.

Initial Patient Concerns

The patient was unhappy with the sensitivity and shape of their teeth.

Diagnosis

Upon diagnosis, it was revealed that the patient had been suffering from extreme sensitivity for nearly 3 years due to overly aggressive tartar cleaning. This had resulted in enamel wear, multiple fillings, and gum recession.
